Description

Shakespeare's Sister is one of The Smiths' finest standalone singles, released in March 1985 between the albums Meat Is Murder and The Queen Is Dead. Built around Johnny Marr's rockabilly-inspired guitar riff and Morrissey's distinctive lyrical wit, the single became another UK Top 30 hit and further cemented the band's reputation as one of Britain's most original and influential groups.

Featuring the superb B-sides What She Said and Stretch Out And Wait, this original 12-inch release offers an essential snapshot of The Smiths during one of the most creative periods of their career.
