Dare is the third studio album by The Human League and one of the defining albums of the early-1980s synth-pop and New Romantic movement. Released in October 1981, the album saw the band move towards a highly accessible electronic pop sound under the production of Martin Rushent.
The album became a huge commercial success, reaching No. 1 on the UK Albums Chart and producing the classic singles Don't You Want Me, Love Action (I Believe In Love), Open Your Heart and The Sound Of The Crowd.

This is the original 1981 UK pressing on Virgin Records, catalogue number V2192. The original UK edition was issued in a distinctive gatefold picture sleeve, complete with the illustrated lyric inner sleeve.
The original UK pressing was released on 16 October 1981 and was pressed by CBS at Aston Clinton, with lacquers cut at The Town House.
