Description
The Captain And Me is the third studio album by American rock band The Doobie Brothers, originally released in 1973 and produced by Ted Templeman.
The album is one of the band's defining early releases and features two of their best-known songs, “Long Train Runnin'” and “China Grove”. The record combines the band's trademark driving rock sound with blues, country and boogie influences, alongside the more melodic songwriting of Patrick Simmons.
With Tom Johnston's distinctive vocals and guitar work at the forefront, The Captain And Me remains one of the essential albums from the Doobie Brothers' classic early period.
