Description
St. Jude Re:Wired is The Courteeners' reimagining of their acclaimed debut album St. Jude, released to mark its tenth anniversary in 2018. The album sees frontman Liam Fray and the band revisit the original songs with stripped-back arrangements and new interpretations, incorporating acoustic instrumentation and strings.
Produced by Liam Fray and Joe Cross, the project grew from Fray's acoustic solo tour, where he began experimenting with different arrangements of songs from The Courteeners' back catalogue. The band subsequently recorded the reworked album in just a few days.
The release features newly recorded versions of all 12 songs from St. Jude, including “Aftershow,” “Cavorting,” “Bide Your Time,” “What Took You So Long?,” “Not Nineteen Forever” and “Fallowfield Hillbilly.”
