Description
Revolver is widely regarded as one of The Beatles' greatest and most influential albums, marking a major step forward in the band's songwriting, recording and production.
This is the particularly desirable UK mono pressing with the XEX 606-1 Side Two matrix, identifying the withdrawn early version containing the original “Remix 11” of “Tomorrow Never Knows”. The pressing was quickly withdrawn and replaced with the standard mix.
Pressing Notes
Original 1966 UK Parlophone mono pressing, catalogue PMC 7009. The supplied Side Two matrix XEX 606-1 is the key identifier of the withdrawn pressing. These copies contain the alternate Remix 11 of Tomorrow Never Knows, rather than the standard Remix 8 used on subsequent pressings.
The early labels also used the “Dr. Robert” spelling rather than the later corrected “Doctor Robert” on early copies.
