Description:
Please Please Me is The Beatles' historic debut studio album, originally released in March 1963 and recorded during the band's extraordinary breakthrough period.
Produced by George Martin, the album captures The Beatles at the beginning of their recording career, combining original Lennon–McCartney compositions with carefully chosen covers. It includes some of the group's earliest and most enduring songs, including "I Saw Her Standing There", "Please Please Me", "Love Me Do", "P.S. I Love You", "Do You Want To Know A Secret", "Twist And Shout" and "There's A Place".
This is a UK stereo 1-box EMI Parlophone pressing, catalogue PCS 3042, from the late 1960s. The 1-box EMI label is a sought-after transitional design used shortly before the introduction of the later two-box EMI labels.
What makes this particular copy especially interesting to collectors is the label error on Side 2, where the normal printed text is absent from the label. This unusual variation gives the record additional collector interest.
