Description

Fishes Eyes is one of the defining singles by Manchester alternative rock outfit New Fast Automatic Daffodils. Released in 1990, the single perfectly captures the band's unique fusion of indie rock, psychedelic textures, dance rhythms and the emerging Madchester sound. The title track would later appear in a different form on the acclaimed debut album Pigeonhole, while this 12-inch also features the exclusive Underwater version together with the non-album track White.

Original 1990 UK/European first pressing on Play It Again Sam Records, catalogue number BIAS 162. This copy carries the desirable 08 30271 201 A1 / 08 30271 201 B1 first-cut matrix combination and also includes the hand-etched "DAF4 Zaptog" inscription in the Side One runout, an authentic mastering etching found on original pressings.

Released during the height of the Madchester era, this 12-inch was manufactured in relatively modest numbers and has become increasingly sought after by collectors of Manchester indie, alternative rock and early-1990s independent vinyl.
