Description
Circle In The Round is a fascinating collection from Miles Davis, bringing together previously unreleased recordings spanning almost 15 years of his career, from 1955 through to 1970.
The album provides a remarkable overview of Davis's artistic development, moving from the hard bop of the 1950s through his groundbreaking work with his second great quintet and into the experimental, electric period of the late 1960s and early 1970s.
The title track, “Circle In The Round,” is particularly notable as a lengthy 1967 recording featuring Joe Beck on electric guitar, while “Guinnevere” comes from a 1970 session and features Davis alongside musicians including Chick Corea and Dave Holland.
