An Hour Before It's Dark is the twentieth studio album by Marillion, released in March 2022. The album continues the band's distinctive blend of progressive rock, atmospheric arrangements and emotionally powerful songwriting, with themes centred around time, mortality, the environment and the human condition.

The album was recorded at Peter Gabriel's Real World Studios and features Steve Hogarth on vocals, Steve Rothery on guitar, Mark Kelly on keyboards, Pete Trewavas on bass and Ian Mosley on drums.

Featuring Be Hard On Yourself, Reprogram The Gene, Murder Machines, The Crow And The Nightingale, Sierra Leone and Care, the album received widespread acclaim and became another highly regarded release from Marillion's Steve Hogarth era.

This is the 2022 Ultimate Edition box set, released through Intact Records / earMUSIC. The large-format lift-off-lid box contains the double vinyl edition, together with a hardcover book, songbook, artwork, certificate and additional collector's items including a pack of cards, USB stick and guitar picks.

The vinyl itself is presented as a heavyweight double LP with printed inner sleeves. The Ultimate Edition was one of the premium collector's editions produced for the album's original release.

This particular copy is factory sealed, making it an especially desirable example for collectors.
