Computer World is the eighth studio album by Kraftwerk and one of the most influential electronic albums ever recorded. Released in 1981, it explored the emerging relationship between computers, technology and modern society with remarkable foresight. Built around minimalist synthesizers, sequencers and drum machines, the album helped shape the future of synth-pop, electro, hip-hop and techno. It reached No. 15 on the UK Albums Chart and remains a landmark in electronic music history.

Featuring the classic tracks Computer World, Pocket Calculator, Computer Love, Numbers and Home Computer, the album has influenced generations of artists, from Depeche Mode and New Order to Afrika Bambaataa and Daft Punk.

Produced by Ralf Hütter and Florian Schneider, the album was recorded at the legendary Kling Klang Studio in Düsseldorf. Original UK pressings include the printed lyric inner sleeve and are highly regarded for their superb analogue sound, making them one of the most desirable editions outside the original German release.
