Description
Widely known as the legendary "Beano Album", Blues Breakers with Eric Clapton is one of the most important British blues records ever released. Originally issued in 1966, the album captures Eric Clapton shortly after leaving The Yardbirds and features the guitarist delivering the fiery, overdriven Les Paul and Marshall amplifier tone that would redefine blues-rock guitar.
Backed by John Mayall's superb Bluesbreakers lineup featuring John McVie on bass and Hughie Flint on drums, the album blends authentic Chicago blues with British musicianship to create a landmark recording that inspired generations of guitarists. Standout performances include All Your Love, Hideaway, Key To Love, Ramblin' On My Mind, Double Crossing Time, and Have You Heard.
Often credited as one of the records that paved the way for Cream, Led Zeppelin and the British blues explosion of the late 1960s, the album remains an essential cornerstone of any serious blues or classic rock collection.
