Description

Thick As A Brick is Jethro Tull's fifth studio album, released in 1972 and presented as one continuous piece of music spread across both sides of the LP. It is one of the band's most celebrated progressive rock releases.

Pressing Notes

This is the original 1972 UK Chrysalis pressing, catalogue CHR 1003, housed in the famous 12-page fold-out newspaper sleeve – The St. Cleve Chronicle & Linwell Advertiser. The earliest issue has the white Island "i" logo and radial text at the top of the green Chrysalis labels, with a heavyweight card construction to the newspaper sleeve.

Early examples are particularly sought after by collectors, with documented first-issue copies carrying PORKY and PECKO in the run-outs.
