Description
The Soundhouse Tapes is the legendary debut EP by Iron Maiden, originally released in November 1979 on the band's own Rock Hard Records label. Recorded at Spaceward Studios in Cambridge in December 1978, the three-track EP captures Iron Maiden in their earliest form, with Paul Di'Anno on vocals, Steve Harris on bass, Dave Murray on guitar and Doug Sampson on drums.
Originally distributed by mail order and limited to just 5,000 copies, The Soundhouse Tapes quickly became one of the most sought-after releases in the history of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal.
Featuring the raw early recordings of “Iron Maiden,” “Invasion” and “Prowler,” this is an essential piece of Iron Maiden history and one of the most desirable UK NWOBHM collectables.
