Description
Let's Dance is David Bowie's fifteenth studio album, released in 1983 and produced by Bowie alongside Nile Rodgers of Chic.
The album marked a dramatic change in direction for Bowie, embracing a polished blend of dance-rock, funk, pop and soul. It became one of the biggest commercial successes of his career and introduced a new generation of listeners to his music.
The album features three of Bowie's best-known songs: “Let's Dance,” “Modern Love” and “China Girl.” It also features the distinctive guitar work of a then relatively unknown Stevie Ray Vaughan, particularly prominent on the title track and throughout the album.
With Nile Rodgers' crisp production and Bowie's powerful songwriting, Let's Dance remains one of the defining pop albums of the 1980s.
