Diamond Dogs is the eighth studio album by English singer-songwriter David Bowie, originally released in 1974.
The album combines glam rock, art rock and dystopian theatricality, drawing inspiration from George Orwell’s Nineteen Eighty-Four and Bowie’s abandoned stage musical adaptation. It features several of Bowie’s most celebrated songs, including Future Legend, Diamond Dogs, Rebel Rebel, Rock ’n’ Roll With Me and 1984.

This original UK pressing was released by RCA Victor and features the iconic cover artwork by Guy Peellaert, depicting Bowie as a half-man, half-dog creature. The striking sleeve design perfectly reflects the album’s dark, futuristic and theatrical atmosphere.
Diamond Dogs reached No. 1 in the UK Albums Chart and remains one of David Bowie’s most distinctive and influential albums. It marked a transition between the glam-rock era of Aladdin Sane and the soul-influenced sound of Young Americans.
