Translucent Yellow Colour vinyl, hype sticker. Landmark Latin-Jazz album from 1954. Cal Tjader helped popularize Latin and Afro-Cuban jazz in the United States during the 1950s. On this early recording, Tjader showcases his signature vibraphone style alongside traditional Afro-Cuban rhythms and percussion. The record laid the groundwork for his extensive exploration of Latin-infused jazz alongside legendary percussionists like Mongo Santamaría and Willie Bobo, launching a new mainstream/pop appreciation of the form.
