Barenaked Ladies - Born on a Pirate Ship

Of all the bands that became huge in the ‘90s, Barenaked Ladies have been among the last to see their catalog released on vinyl, but we’re making up for lost time with this deluxe, expanded, 30th anniversary edition of their 1996 album Born on a Pirate Ship! Not only did this record go gold in the U.S. and Top Twenty in Canada, but it also notched their first American hit with “The Old Apartment.” It also marked the welcome return of Steven Page and Ed Robertson writing as a team, which resulted in such gems as “I Know” and “Straw Hat (And Old Dirty Hank)” (and fans of the TV show Friends will recognize “Shoe Box” from its inclusion on the soundtrack). For its first-ever vinyl release, we’ve remastered Born on a Pirate Ship for vinyl and added a couple of bonus tracks, “Trust Me” and “Back.” That’s just the first three sides…we’ve saved the last side for a skull and crossbones etching (Aaarr, matey)! Cobalt blue double-LP pressing limited to 3000 copies worldwide.
