Wipe Out – The Singles Album 1963–1967 brings together twenty recordings from The Surfaris' prolific mid-1960s singles career. Best known for the instantly recognisable surf-rock instrumental Wipe Out, The Surfaris combined energetic guitar work, driving rhythms and Ron Wilson's celebrated drumming to create some of the defining sounds of the American surf-rock era.
This UK MCA compilation collects material spanning the group's singles from 1963 through to 1967, including the classic Wipe Out and Surfer Joe, alongside Point Panic, Waikiki Run, Murphy The Surfie, Hey Joe Where Are You Going, I'm A Hog For You Baby and Route 66.
An excellent collection for fans of surf rock, instrumental rock and 1960s garage-influenced sounds.
