Countdown To Ecstasy is the second studio album by Steely Dan and the first to feature the band's original touring line-up. Released in 1973, the album expanded upon the jazz-rock sound of Can't Buy A Thrill, introducing more sophisticated arrangements, complex harmonies and the distinctive songwriting partnership of Donald Fagen and Walter Becker. Although it wasn't an immediate commercial success, it has since become one of the band's most acclaimed recordings.

Featuring classic tracks including Bodhisattva, Razor Boy, The Boston Rag, Your Gold Teeth, Show Biz Kids, My Old School, Pearl Of The Quarter and King Of The World, the album is widely regarded as a landmark of jazz rock and sophisticated 1970s songwriting.
