Description
Madonna is the self-titled debut studio album by American singer Madonna, originally released in July 1983. The album introduced the world to Madonna's distinctive blend of dance-pop, disco, funk and synth-pop and established her as one of the defining artists of the 1980s.
Produced primarily by Reggie Lucas, with additional production from John "Jellybean" Benitez and Mark Kamins, the album features some of Madonna's earliest and most enduring hits, including "Lucky Star," "Borderline," "Burning Up," "Holiday" and "Everybody."
The album was originally released simply as Madonna. It was subsequently reissued internationally in 1985 under the title Madonna – The First Album, with different artwork. This listing is for the original self-titled album.
