Description
Rise / Visions Of Splendour is the rare debut 12" single from UK hip-hop producer and MC Lewis Parker, originally released in 1996 on the independent Bite It! Recordings label.
The release is an excellent example of the emerging British underground hip-hop scene of the mid-1990s, with Parker's production combining dusty samples, intricate rhythms and a classic underground boom-bap aesthetic. The record also features contributions from DJ Bias, with cuts appearing on the Visions Of Splendour versions.
This highly sought-after 12" is an important early release in Lewis Parker's catalogue, predating his 1998 album Masquerades & Silhouettes.
