Recorded primarily at Long Beach Arena in California, with the fourth side taken from performances at London's Hammersmith Odeon, it features definitive live versions of Aces High, The Trooper, Powerslave, The Number Of The Beast, Hallowed Be Thy Name and Phantom Of The Opera.
Pressing Notes
Original 1985 UK pressing on EMI Records, catalogue RIP 1 / ES 24 0426 3, issued as a double LP in the iconic Eddie gatefold sleeve. The original UK edition features picture labels, two inner sleeves and the original 8-page booklet.
The first three sides were recorded at Long Beach Arena, California, in March 1985, while the fourth side features recordings from the Hammersmith Odeon, London, from October 1984.
