Description
Hawkwind is the self-titled debut studio album by British space-rock pioneers Hawkwind, originally released in August 1970. It is a hugely important early space-rock record and showcases the raw, psychedelic sound that would become a defining part of the band's identity.
The album features the classic opening track Hurry On Sundown, alongside The Reason Is?, Be Yourself, the two-part Paranoia, Seeing It As You Really Are and Mirror Of Illusion.
This is the original 1970 UK Liberty pressing with the distinctive black Liberty labels, housed in the original gatefold picture sleeve. The black-label edition followed the initial blue-label pressing and is a highly desirable early UK copy.
