Private Beach Party is one of Gregory Isaacs' finest mid-1980s albums, continuing the legendary "Cool Ruler's" run of classic lovers rock and roots reggae recordings.
Produced by the renowned Augustus "Gussie" Clarke, the album blends smooth romantic vocals with heavyweight reggae rhythms performed by some of Jamaica's finest musicians, including Sly Dunbar, Robbie Shakespeare, Willie Lindo and Dean Fraser. It remains one of the strongest collaborations between Isaacs and Clarke during the 1980s.
Featuring standout tracks including Private Beach Party, Feeling Irie, Wish, No Mash Up The Dance, Let Off Supm (with Dennis Brown) and Easy, the album is an essential addition to any reggae collection.
