Description:
Ice On Fire is Elton John's nineteenth studio album, released in November 1985 and produced by his longtime collaborator Gus Dudgeon. The album marked a return to the producer who had been behind many of Elton's most successful recordings during the 1970s.
The album features the huge hit "Nikita", alongside "Wrap Her Up", "Soul Glove" and "Cry To Heaven". It also features several notable guest appearances, including George Michael on "Nikita" and "Wrap Her Up", while members of Queen, Sister Sledge and other prominent musicians also contribute to the record.
Combining Elton's piano-led songwriting with the polished pop production of the mid-1980s, Ice On Fire is an excellent snapshot of Elton John during one of the most commercially successful periods of his career.
