Help! is The Beatles' fifth studio album and the soundtrack to their second feature film, released in August 1965. The album represents an important stage in the band's development, combining their instantly recognisable pop songwriting with increasingly sophisticated arrangements and more mature lyrical themes.
The album features some of The Beatles' most enduring songs, including the title track "Help!", "Ticket To Ride", "You've Got To Hide Your Love Away", "Yesterday" and "You've Got To Hide Your Love Away", alongside favourites such as "The Night Before", "Another Girl", "You're Going To Lose That Girl" and "I've Just Seen A Face".
This is the original 1965 UK mono Parlophone pressing, catalogue PMC 1255, with the classic black and yellow Parlophone labels and original period sleeve.

Original 1965 UK first pressing on Parlophone, catalogue PMC 1255. The early mono pressing features the black and yellow Parlophone labels, "THE GRAMOPHONE CO. LTD." perimeter text and "SOLD IN U.K. SUBJECT TO RESALE PRICE CONDITIONS, SEE PRICE LISTS."
The original Garrod & Lofthouse front-laminated flipback sleeve features the outlined "mono" text on the front. Early copies were supplied with the tracing-paper-lined "Use Emitex" die-cut inner sleeve.
