Description

More Specials is the second studio album by The Specials, released in 1980 and showcasing the band's willingness to move beyond the ska revival sound that made them famous. Blending ska, reggae, lounge, pop and new wave influences, the album demonstrated the band's musical ambition while retaining their distinctive social commentary. It reached No. 5 on the UK Albums Chart and remains one of the defining British records of the early 1980s.

Featuring standout tracks including Do Nothing, Stereotype, International Jet Set, Man At C&A, Holiday Fortnight, Enjoy Yourself (It's Later Than You Think) and Sock It To 'Em J.B., More Specials is regarded as one of the most adventurous releases of the 2 Tone era.

Original 1980 UK first pressing on 2 Tone Records, catalogue number CHR TT 5003.

This copy includes the original bonus 7-inch single (The Special AKA Live!), issued with early first pressings. The album is housed in the original picture sleeve with printed inner sleeve. Early UK copies complete with the bonus single are increasingly sought after by collectors.
