The record reached No. 9 on the UK Albums Chart and has consistently been recognised as one of the defining albums of its era.
Featuring legendary tracks including London Calling, Clampdown, Spanish Bombs, The Guns Of Brixton, Lost In The Supermarket, Death Or Glory and the hidden hit Train In Vain, this iconic release remains an essential record for collectors and fans of classic British rock.
Pressing Notes
Original 1979 UK CBS Records pressing, catalogue number CLASH 3. This example is housed in the original gatefold sleeve and retains the original front cover hype sticker, a feature rarely found intact on surviving copies. Complete with the original illustrated lyric inner sleeves, early UK pressings are highly regarded for their superb analogue sound quality and remain among the most desirable editions of this landmark album. Original UK copies also feature Train In Vain as an unlisted hidden track on the sleeve and labels, identified only in the runout etching.
