Vinyl Record Care & Cleaning

  • Store records upright in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat.
  • Always handle records by the edges and label.
  • Remove dust with a velvet record brush before and after each play.
  • Spray a small amount of vinyl record cleaner onto a microfibre cloth (not directly onto the record).
  • Wipe gently in the direction of the grooves using the microfibre cloth.
  • Let the record air dry completely before placing it back in its sleeve.
  • Keep records in clean inner sleeves and return them to their covers after use.

Description
Original UK copy of Empires And Dance, Simple Minds' third album from 1980. This is a great early Simple Minds record, with I Travel, Celebrate, This Fear Of Gods, Capital City and Room.

A really nice early 80s new wave album and a good one for anyone building a collection of the band's earlier records. The original UK release reached number 41 in the UK album chart.

Pressing Notes
Original UK 1980 Arista/Zoom pressing, catalogue SPART 1140. The first issues were released on the Zoom label and came with a lyric insert.
