A Maximum High is the second studio album by York indie rock band Shed Seven, released in April 1996. Produced by Chris Sheldon, the album saw the band develop their energetic guitar-driven sound and became one of the defining releases of the mid-1990s Britpop era.
The album reached No. 8 on the UK Albums Chart and produced five UK Top 40 singles: Where Have You Been Tonight?, Getting Better, Going For Gold, On Standby and Bully Boy. Going For Gold became the band's biggest hit, reaching No. 8 in the UK Singles Chart.
