The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn is Pink Floyd's groundbreaking debut album and one of the defining records of the psychedelic era. Recorded between February and July 1967 with producer Norman Smith, it is the only Pink Floyd studio album to feature Syd Barrett as the band's sole creative leader. This 1983 UK Fame reissue was released on Fame Records, catalogue number FA 3065. Issued with the distinctive yellow Fame labels and original-style artwork, the album was part of EMI's highly regarded budget reissue series. These pressings retain excellent analogue mastering, with many copies carrying HTM (Harry T. Moss) mastering in the run-out grooves, making them highly respected for their superb sound quality while offering a more affordable alternative to the original Columbia pressings.
