Description
Definitely Maybe is the legendary debut album by Oasis and one of the defining British rock records of the 1990s.
Released in 1994, the album introduced the world to Liam Gallagher's unmistakable vocals and Noel Gallagher's anthemic songwriting, combining huge guitars, rock 'n' roll swagger and unforgettable melodies.
Featuring the timeless classics Live Forever, Supersonic, Cigarettes & Alcohol, Rock 'N' Roll Star, Slide Away and Shakermaker, Definitely Maybe became an instant landmark of British music and helped launch Oasis as one of the biggest bands of their generation.
The original double-vinyl edition also includes Sad Song, which formed part of the original 12-track vinyl configuration.
Pressing Notes
Original 1994 UK double-vinyl pressing on Creation Records, catalogue number CRE LP 169.
This copy features the distinctive crossed-out MPO markings within the runout area but carries no DAMONT inscriptions.
This is an important pressing detail. The recognised UK Damont pressing features DAMONT hand-etched within the runouts, whereas this copy does not carry those markings.
It is therefore conservatively identified as a 1994 UK original Creation Records non-Damont runout variant and is not being described as the Damont pressing.
Issued during the album's original 1994 release period, this edition retains the original Creation Records presentation, double-LP format and 12-track vinyl configuration including Sad Song.
An unusual original-era matrix variation and a highly desirable copy of one of the most important British albums of the 1990s.
