Description

Motorcycle Emptiness is one of the defining singles of the Manic Street Preachers' career and the fifth single taken from their landmark debut album, Generation Terrorists. Released in June 1992, the song became the band's breakthrough hit, reaching No. 17 on the UK Singles Chart and establishing them as one of Britain's most important alternative rock bands. Inspired by S. E. Hinton's Rumble Fish, the track combines soaring guitars, memorable melodies and thought-provoking lyrics, remaining one of the band's most celebrated recordings.

Original 1992 UK limited edition first pressing on Columbia Records, catalogue number 658083 6. Issued as a striking 12-inch picture disc, this copy features the original 6580835-6-A / 6580835-6-B matrix combination, confirming it as an early production pressing.

Housed in its original clear PVC sleeve with hype sticker, this edition was released during the Generation Terrorists campaign and was manufactured in relatively limited numbers. Original picture discs from this era have become highly collectible and remain among the most desirable early Manic Street Preachers releases.
