Bigger and Deffer (BAD) is the second studio album by LL Cool J and one of the defining hip-hop releases of the 1980s. Produced primarily by Rick Rubin and the L.A. Posse, the album expanded LL Cool J's sound by combining hard-hitting rap with more melodic and commercially successful material. It became his breakthrough album, reaching multi-platinum status and helping establish hip-hop as a mainstream genre.
