Vinyl Record Care & Cleaning

  • Store records upright in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat.
  • Always handle records by the edges and label.
  • Remove dust with a velvet record brush before and after each play.
  • Spray a small amount of vinyl record cleaner onto a microfibre cloth (not directly onto the record).
  • Wipe gently in the direction of the grooves using the microfibre cloth.
  • Let the record air dry completely before placing it back in its sleeve.
  • Keep records in clean inner sleeves and return them to their covers after use.

Description
Original UK Track Records pressing of Smash Hits, released in 1968. A great collection of Hendrix classics, including Purple Haze, Fire, The Wind Cries Mary, Hey Joe, Stone Free, Foxy Lady and Burning Of The Midnight Lamp.

This is the original UK Track Records version, with the UK track listing rather than the later US version. A really nice one for any Hendrix collection.

Pressing Notes
Original 1968 UK Track Records mono pressing, catalogue 612 004. The album was first issued in the UK in April 1968 and featured all four of the Experience's UK singles up to that point, along with additional tracks from Are You Experienced.
