Description
Electric Ladyland is the third and final studio album by The Jimi Hendrix Experience and is widely regarded as one of the greatest rock albums ever recorded. The only Hendrix album produced entirely under his own direction, it pushed the boundaries of psychedelic rock, blues and studio experimentation, showcasing his extraordinary guitar playing and visionary songwriting.
Featuring the classic tracks Voodoo Child (Slight Return), All Along The Watchtower, Crosstown Traffic, Burning Of The Midnight Lamp and the epic 1983...(A Merman I Should Turn To Be), Electric Ladyland remains an essential cornerstone of any serious vinyl collection.
Pressing Notes
Early UK Polydor pressing housed in the highly collectible "Banned Sleeve" featuring David Montgomery's controversial photograph of nineteen nude women. Withdrawn from many retailers shortly after release due to its provocative artwork, complete examples with the original sleeve are among the most iconic and sought-after Hendrix collectables. This double LP was issued on the Polydor label under catalogue number 2310 269, preserving one of the most famous album covers in rock history.
