Description
Stand Up is the second studio album by Jethro Tull and the first to feature guitarist Martin Barre. Originally released in 1969, the album marked a significant step forward from the blues-based sound of the band's debut, incorporating folk, progressive and hard rock influences. Featuring tracks such as "Bourée", "Nothing Is Easy" and "Fat Man", the album became Jethro Tull's first UK number-one album.
Pressing Notes
Reissue pressing of Stand Up, complete with the famous pop-up "stand-up" insert inside the gatefold sleeve. The original album became renowned for its innovative die-cut artwork, which reveals a cardboard pop-up of the band when opened. Reissues retaining the reproduction stand-up insert remain highly desirable and faithfully recreate one of the most iconic album packaging designs of the late 1960s.
