Description

Liquidizer is the acclaimed debut album from Jesus Jones, released in October 1989 at the height of the UK's alternative dance explosion. Blending indie rock, electronic samples, dance beats and infectious pop melodies, the album helped define the emerging techno-rock sound that would become the band's trademark. Featuring the hit singles Info Freako, Never Enough and Bring It On Down, Liquidizer reached the UK Top 40 and laid the foundations for the band's international breakthrough with Doubt.

Pressing Notes

Original 1989 UK first pressing on Food Records, catalogue number FOODLP 3, featuring the desirable A-1U / B-1U first-cut matrix combination. First issues were released in a glossy picture sleeve complete with the original printed inner sleeve.

Produced by Craig Leon, Liquidizer perfectly captures the energy of the late-1980s indie dance movement, combining guitar-driven alternative rock with dance rhythms, electronic sampling and club culture influences. Original UK first pressings are increasingly sought after by collectors of indie, alternative rock and Madchester-era vinyl, with the A-1U / B-1U matrices representing the earliest commercially released UK edition.
