The Idiot is Iggy Pop's groundbreaking debut solo album and one of the defining records of the late 1970s. Recorded during his celebrated Berlin period with David Bowie, the album marked a dramatic departure from the raw sound of The Stooges, embracing darker atmospheres, electronic textures and experimental songwriting.
