Foxtrot is widely regarded as one of Genesis' greatest albums and a cornerstone of progressive rock. Released in 1972, it was the band's fourth studio album and the last to feature drummer John Mayhew's replacement lineup before their commercial breakthrough. The album showcases the classic early Genesis sound, blending complex compositions, imaginative storytelling and virtuoso musicianship.
