- Spray a small amount of vinyl record cleaner onto a microfibre cloth (not directly onto the record).
- Wipe gently in the direction of the grooves using the microfibre cloth.
- Let the record air dry completely before placing it back in its sleeve.
- Keep records in clean inner sleeves and return them to their covers after use.

Description
Dire Straits is the self-titled debut album from one of Britain’s most celebrated rock bands. Originally released in 1978, the album introduced Mark Knopfler’s distinctive guitar style and understated songwriting to the world.
The record features some of Dire Straits’ best-known early compositions, including the enduring classic “Sultans Of Swing”, alongside “Down To The Waterline”, “Water Of Love”, “Six Blade Knife” and “Wild West End”.
This edition is the 1982 UK Vertigo Special Limited Edition half-speed mastered pressing, produced using the half-speed mastering process at Strawberry Mastering. The process was intended to provide enhanced clarity and detail from the original recording.

1982 UK Vertigo Special Limited Edition half-speed mastered pressing, catalogue number HS 9102 021.
The release was marketed as a Special High Fidelity Half-Speed Mastered Limited Edition and features the distinctive yellow band across the top of the front sleeve identifying the half-speed mastering edition.
The original recording was made at Basing Street Studios, London, in February 1978. The half-speed mastering was carried out at Strawberry Mastering in the UK.
