Vinyl Record Care & Cleaning

  • Store records upright in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat.

  • Wipe gently in the direction of the grooves using the microfibre cloth.
  • Let the record air dry completely before placing it back in its sleeve.
  • Keep records in clean inner sleeves and return them to their covers after use.

Original UK London pressing of Coleman Hawkins' The Hawk Flies High. A fantastic jazz album with Hawkins on tenor sax alongside J.J. Johnson, Idrees Sulieman, Hank Jones, Oscar Pettiford, Jo Jones and Barry Galbraith.

A great selection of tracks including Chant, Juicy Fruit, Think Deep, Laura, Blue Lights and Sancticity. A really nice early UK jazz pressing and one that will appeal to collectors of Coleman Hawkins and classic Riverside-era jazz.

This is the UK London Records edition, catalogue LTZ-U 15117, issued in 1958. It is the UK counterpart to the original 1957 Riverside RLP 12-233.
