Vinyl Record Care & Cleaning
- Store records upright in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat.
- Always handle records by the edges and label.
- Remove dust with a velvet record brush before and after each play.
- Spray a small amount of vinyl record cleaner onto a microfibre cloth (not directly onto the record).
- Wipe gently in the direction of the grooves using the microfibre cloth.
- Let the record air dry completely before placing it back in its sleeve.
- Keep records in clean inner sleeves and return them to their covers after use.

Assemblage is a compilation album by Japan, released in September 1981 as the band were reaching the height of their popularity. It brings together key recordings from their earlier Hansa period with later material, including tracks from Adolescent Sex, Obscure Alternatives and Quiet Life, alongside the singles Life In Tokyo and I Second That Emotion.
The album reached No. 26 on the UK Albums Chart and was eventually certified Gold in the UK.

This is the original 1981 UK pressing on Hansa Records, catalogue number HANLP 1. The original UK edition was released on 11 September 1981 and features the original ten-track compilation.
The album was compiled with the involvement of Japan and remains one of the more significant compilations in the band's catalogue. The original UK pressing is highly desirable to collectors of Japan's early work.
